Scope and Content
This series contains correspondence between the Websters and individuals at institutions throughout the world. Some correspondence may be personal in nature, but the bulk of the content is related to historic scientific instruments and the history of astronomy. The Websters filed their correspondence alphabetically by last name, and this original order was maintained. Individual correspondents' institutional affiliations or locations were added to folder names, as appropriate. Incoming and outgoing correspondence are filed together.
