Scope and Content
The Building & Grounds series in the Adler Planetarium Historic Photograph collection contains images of the Museum Campus both before and after the Planetarium's construction. Images of the original Planetarium construction and later modifications and building projects are also included. Many views both of and from the Planetarium's exterior are included, as well as views of architectural details of the building, such as the Dedicatory Plaque and bronze zodiacal plaques. Exterior details such as the Terrazzo Esplanade and outdoor signage, as well as interior spaces, both public and behind-the scenes, are also documented.
