Adler Planetarium Historic Photographs

The Adler Planetarium Historic Photograph collection contains approximately 40,000 images documenting the history of the Planetarium. The majority of the collection consists of photographic images created by Planetarium staff from 1929 to the present, in various original formats including photographic prints, slides or transparencies, and digital images. The subjects documented by the images include the building and grounds both under construction and undergoing modifications, Adler Planetarium staff, visitors, exhibits, events, and other topics related to the history of the institution.
