Sundial: Butterfield-type

Octagonal. Hour scales for 40° and 50° in Roman numerals; scales for 45° and 55° in Arabic. Arrow-shaped, blued needle, type 18, is an old replacement. Original wooden, velvet lined, shagreen and leather case with brass hardware.
