Crudely marked, circular-hinged sector. Hinge engraved with flower. Scalloped friction ledge. Two pin-in-hole closures. Usual French-type double scales, with some peculiarities. Line of chords runs 0-110°. Line of polygons is labeled correctly on one leg, but has "Plans" on the other, leaving the line of planes unmarked. In the line of metals, the symbol for lead is not included.
Of the single scales, the calibre of pieces scale (C - des - P -) is marked sporadically 0-30. In comparison with other sectors (M-89n, A-128, W-233), if a shortened version of the calibre of pieces scale is used, the length of that scale on this sector should be 0-24. The shortened weight of shot scale (P - des - B -) is correctly marked 0-24.
Probably not Butterfield's work. Maker has a lack of understanding about use of various scales.
