Arm for an elliptical trammel, base and drawing pen or pencil missing. On one side of arm is inscription, on other a scale of equal parts, 0-130, by one. Pierced wing screw, decoratively engraved, to hold drawing implement in place is present in one end. A small "1" is marked at the other end. Trammel slides engraved with acanthus leaves; each has two wing screws, one on top for fixing slide to arm friction, the other below on side to hold slide feet in place. Slide feet are removable, leaving option to use the arm as a beam compass if points are inserted. One of the slide feet has a small "1" on the side, corresponding to a "1" on the slide shaft into which it is inserted.
