Celestial globe with 2 silver hemispheres. Companion to terrestrial globe after Demongenet (G-14). Equator divided 0-360° every 2°. Mounted in gilt brass cradle on a pedestal with repoussé decoration. Globe engraved in Venice (?).

"ELABORABAT/FRANCISCVS/DEMONGEN[E]T/ANNO/[1552]" with 1605 engraved in a different hand over what appears to be an effaced 1552. Other cartouche reads "EXIMIO VIRO/ D. GABRIE/ LI A TIESBACH" but is very worn.
