Apollo 14 Flown Ephemera

WRK-7 features a frame with Apollo 14 ephemera that was on board the Lunar Module "Antares" when it landed on the moon in 1971. The frame includes a large vertical picture of the module landing on the moon to the left in the frame. Below the image is a brass engraved plaque. In the upper right hand corner there is an American flag that was flown onboard the module. In the bottom right hand corner of the frame is an Apollo 14 mission patch. Beneath the mission patch are the signatures of three astronauts, all of which were part of this mission.

On brass plaque: "To Mayor Richard J Daley and the people of the city of Chicago in appreciation for the warm hospitality extended Apollo 14 astronauts and families. March 5, 1971."
Underneath the American Flag: "This Apollo 14 emblem and the American flag were aboard the lunar module 'Antares' when it landed on the moon. Launch: January 31, 1971 4:03 P.M. EST. Splashdown: February 9, 1971 4:05 P.M. EST."
