GIL-33

Space base

White, black, and light blue ceramic model of a space station, "Space base", mounted on a circular faux wood base. Detaches into six parts. The mount for GIL-33 is on shelf 33/4. The space base itself is on shelf 33/3.

This is an early design for a sixty-man, low-Earth-orbit space station. An Apollo capsule is shown alongside for size comparison. The station would rotate to give astronauts inside the same weight as on Earth. Docking ports are seen on the stalks extending from the main cylinder.
