Sundial: Vertical Plate

"Unrolled" pillar dial with nocturnal. Crude reproduction of a German dial, c. 1650, illustrated in Mrs. Gatty's "Book of Sundials" (with minor changes). Hinged gnomon sliding along horizontal bar along horizon edge of hour scale. Hours in Arabic numerals.
