Sundial: Pillar

Wooden pillar with turned cap to which a string was once attached. "37" punched on top of cap; this refers to projected length of gnomon. Folding iron gnomon. Printed paper scales pasted to cylinder. French instructions for use on the dial are printed on the cardboard tubular case.
