Four volvelles on one side and one volvelle on the other side. Small token with suspension eyelet on throne. recto--volvelle with tab marked 300 in Arabic. This turns beneath another volvelle with 14 petals, one of which is pierced to reveal Arabic markings; other petals have Syriac months. On top, another volvelle of 14 sections; pierced volvelle. verso--same as other side but petals not trimmed on second volvelle. Tab marked 302; Arabic months on second volvelle. Arabic inscriptions are stamped in relief on the instrument and very difficult to read.
