Mercury spacecraft

Gray, orange and white plastic space capsule with escape tower mounted on to an Earth's blue plastic Northern hemisphere base. Detaches into multiple pieces. The mount is located on shelf 33/5.

This first American manned spacecraft was designed to test astronauts re-entry, their ability to live and work in space, and their return to Earth's gravity. Mercury proved that astronauts could indeed live and work well in space.
