Silver and brass inner case. Brass outer case. Round dial standing on 3 turned feet. With plum-bob holder (bob missing). Hour ring has Arabic numerals inside. Hand on outer ring points to latitude on gilt arm. Blued needle, type 32. Gazetteer on base of compass box. Dial housed in round silver box with brass pins to facilitate turning of volvelles.
