Original shagreen-covered wooden case, lined in red velvet, with silver hardware. Inclinable dial consisting of 2 pear-shaped brass plates hinged together. A latitude arm is used to adjust angles between the plates. The arm is hinged to the lower plate which serves as the dial base. This base rests on three turned feet.
