Turned wooden handle with metal attachment holding 3 interchangeable range scales. Each scale is double-sided: (1) 20-foot scale divided 200-3000 yards; with 25-foot scale, 250-4000 yards; (2) 30-foot scale, 300-4000 yards; with 35-foot scale, 350-5000 yards; (3) 40-foot scale, 400-5000 yards; with 50-foot scale, 500-5000 yards. Plungers secure scales to instrument. Metal bracket with glass plate behind which one can position a smaller glass plate that is hinged to a cursor. Cursor with index mark slides up and down a range scale. With fitted wooden box partly lined with green felt; 2 brass latch hooks. Paper instructions on interchanging scales.
