Ball join compass, typical of Lusuerg compasses and dividers. Interchangeable point is presently a divider point. Squared shank of point that fits in bottom of leg also has a hole for side screw to fit in. The side screw has disc shaped head with milled edges. Maker's inscription on inside of one leg. Comparison of the inscription with that on M-136c shows that of M-136d to be somewhat roughly done, as is the instrument overall. Also, the screw with milled head seems unlikely for a Lusuerg, possibly a later replacement.
