Rectangular marble base mounted in a wooden frame, with four levelling screws inset in brass corners. Strictly a noon gun, this sundial has no hour lines or gnomon. An adjustable arm holds the burning lens. An obelisk on a pedestal holds the plumb-bob. A silvered compass replaces the original. Cannon is mounted on a wood base affixed to the marble.
