Silver box. Oval dial with compass towards front of plate. Hour ring has Roman numerals on top, hatchmarks inside. Brass gnomon. Plate is undecorated; missing one foot. Blued needle, type 10. Mica rather than glass on compass. Oval hinged and latched silver box. On lid is a perpetual calendar.
