Brass studs with dimple in center mark various key points on the scales. Instrument has slots for, but lacks, the cross piece that would have held the instrument open to a given angle. Also has a perpetual calendar, a table of 12 stops for finding time at night, a zodiac/calendar scale, a table for finding days of the week, leap years, and epacts and many other tables and scales.
