Adler Planetarium under construction, exterior, dome concrete and first floor granite installed

Image shows the Adler Planetarium under construction, from the exterior, entrance side. The dome has been completely covered in lightweight concrete slabs, and all visible elevations have been covered in St. Cloud (Minnesota) Rainbow Granite. A tall scaffolding unit stands to the south of the entrance. A typewritten inscription on the front of the photograph in the lower right-hand corner reads: '11/11/29 - Looking East, Adler Planetarium, Grant Park, Chicago, Ernest A. Grunsfeld, Jr., Archt., B-W Construction Co., Builders. 'Chicago COML PHOTO Co.'
