Portable striding bubble level with inverted-V feet intended to straddle a theodolite's telescope. Three fine adjustment screws for glass reservoir. Reservoir graduated with 2 sets of 20 hatch marks; no numbers. Used with the universal instrument by Ertel und Sohn and Utzscheinder und Fraunhofer, c. 1834-1840 (L-28).
