Compass card with sundial, floating on pin in brass cylindrical box, under glass cover. Brass lid with sun motif. Gnomon for roughly 40 degree latitude. Card marked in Roman numerals IV - XII - VIII, to be read from North. Sixteen compass bearings. Slightly trimmed, around outside edge of card. Small solder repair(?) on lid.
