Elevation gauge of Tartaglia design. Scales on both faces of instrument. Ends of arms are scallop-cut. Long arm has scale that can be used for weight of iron shot and for caliber of the piece (diameter of the bore). Used in conjunction with calipers. Short arm is plain.
