Mahogany frame with brass fittings, brass stop for the index arm. The inlaid ivory plate is missing from the back of the frame. No tangent screw, clamping screw on the back of the index arm. Two socket shades (both red). Index glass adjustment by screw, horizon glasses by screws, and levers, wing nuts and clamping screws. Sight vane broken, the back sight vane is missing. Ivory pencil head; pencil is missing. Decorative engravings on the lower half of the index arm. No box.
