Circular-hinged sector. Hinge engraved with simple, wavy lines of various lengths radiating from circle in center (simplified floral pattern). Scalloped friction ledge. Two pin-in-hole closure; pins have screw threads possibly machine turned. Usual French-type sector scales. On line of equal parts, both legs, there are two "140" degree marks. The error started when the 110 degree mark was labeled "120." The maker did not realize the mistake until the 150 degree mark. He corrected "120" to "110", "130" to "120", left the real 130 as "140", and then corrected "150" to "140". The line of polygons runs 3-12. Scales for weight of shot and calibre of pieces is marked 0-24.
